Duke guard Grayson Allen is headed for the NBA draft this year, which is welcome news for ACC players’ shins, knees, and general well-being.
The Blue Devils senior added yet another chapter to his trip-happy tenure during his fifth-ranked squad’s upset defeat at the hands of the Virginia Tech Hokies on Monday night.
He was accused on Twitter of kicking guard Justin Robinson during a scramble for a loose ball …

Neither of these plays are as egregious as the sort of stuff that earned Allen his rep as the ACC’s resident bone collector, but much like with Zaza Pachulia in the NBA, it’s hard to grant the benefit of the doubt to someone who’s spent so much time insisting they don’t deserve it.
Thankfully for Virginia Tech, Clarke lived through his brush with Allen to go on to hit the game-winning shot—a tip-in of teammate Nickeil Alexander-Walker’s air ball—before Allen’s own potential game-winner caught nothing but oxygen.
