Jennifer Lopez, a noted New York Yankees fan who managed to bag herself one, Alex Rodriguez, as a boyfriend, has an unsurprising preference in the field of real and perceived candidates to become the next manager of the Bronx Bombers.
J-Lo wants to see A-Rod manage the Yankees.
She expressed as much on Twitter, sharing a blog post that makes the case for A-Rod as the franchise’s next skipper.
“It couldn’t be clearer,” she tweeted.

She also took her opinion to Instagram.
J-Lo had better hope the Yankees don’t use Esther Wojcicki, the mother of A-Rod’s ex, Anne Wojcicki, as a reference. She likely doesn’t believe him to have the mental capacity to juggle multiple personalities in a dugout.
“He seemed to be genuinely in love with Anne,” the elder Wojcicki told the New York Times. “But I right away figured out this was a mismatch. He had no academic background. We couldn’t have an intellectual conversation about anything.”
Yankees general manager Brian Cashman has contacted A-Rod for guidance in his managerial search.
“I reached out to Alex a number of times [and asked] ‘Hey, whaddya got?'” Cashman told Newsday. “I looked for a lot of guidance from a lot of people that I have respect for and Alex knows baseball as well as anybody. He certainly connected with me about what his thoughts are and the types of people he thinks we should play on.”
But according to Cashman, A-Rod wasn’t eager for the gig: “He never expressed interest in any way, shape or form. I engaged him. I don’t want to speak for him, but I don’t think he has any interest in that position.”
So she wants him to have the job and he doesn’t want it? Maybe the singer and actress’ saying she wants to see A-Rod manage the Yankees is just her attempt to get him out of the house.
