The New York Yankees Will Not Bring Joe Girardi Back After 10 Years

Joe Girardi is out as the manager of the New York Yankees. After 10 years at the helm of the most famous baseball franchise, and multiple runs to the postseason, the Yankees will be searching for a new skipper for the spring.

It’s a puzzling decision considering the Yankees exceeded expectations this year and forced a Game 7 in the ALCS, and Girardi has won a World Series as the manager. But apparently Yankees management expects World Series victories every single year.

The “Evil Empire” didn’t technically fire Girardi as manager; they just chose not to renew his contract when it expires at the end of the month. So Girardi hasn’t gotten the ax, but will instead quietly move on from his position with the Yanks.

Where will Girardi end up next season? Will he end up anywhere at all? And who is in line to be the next skipper for the Yankees?
