Joel Embiid already shocked the world by preemptively turning down Rihanna on live TV, so who’s to say he couldn’t do the same by taking down a UFC heavyweight challenger with the 2017 Knockout of the Year under his belt?
Embiid met his fellow Cameroonian, Francis Ngannou, in Episode 5 of “Embedded,” a series following the lead-up to Ngannou’s UFC 220 fight with heavyweight champion Stipe Miocic on Saturday night.

“He should be my next opponent,” a laughing Ngannou said. “I never fought someone taller than me.”
The Philadelphia 76ers center’s reaction? “I think I’d kick his ass. I think I’d kick his ass. I’m pretty big too.”
“Really?” the shocked 6’4″, 263-pound Ngannou asked, giving Embiid a chance to reconsider.
“I don’t think so,” Embiid said through a chuckle. “I don’t think so.”

Rather than have Embiid step into Ngannou’s realm, the 31-year-old heavyweight tried his hand at basketball.

He should give Embiid’s teammate Markelle Fultz some pointers.
