Kevin Durant Reacts to Being Called ‘Soft’ by NBA Opponent

No NBA player has been called a “snake” more over the past two seasons  than Kevin Durant.

But on Wednesday, Durant wielded the insult against a fellow NBA star who dared to draw a pretty accurate analogy of Durant’s fleeing the Thunder for the Warriors.

It started when the epitome of insecurity visited C.J. McCollum’s podcast and condescended to the Trail Blazers guard for his playing on a team that’s not as stacked as Durant’s Warriors.

“Bro, you know you guys aren’t going to win a championship … I mean, let’s be honest,” Durant said when McCollum let him know that he “was hot” over the Warriors’ addition of DeMarcus Cousins.

“Don’t worry about what goes on at the top of things,” Durant added.

The Blazers were the third seed in the West last year. Durant was on a No. 3 seed too, in 2016. He ditched it for a team that’d won a record-setting 73 games in the regular season and had overcome a 3-1 series deficit to beat Durant’s Thunder in the Western Conference finals.

Later on Twitter, McCollum called Durant’s move “soft” and made an unflattering analogy of Durant’s departure for Golden State.

Because Durant apparently spends half his time working on his game and the other half scouring social media for utterances of his name, he found the tweet.

The guy who told McCollum to “get out your feelings” apparently didn’t appreciate the guard’s characterization.

It wouldn’t be a KD hissy fit without a bunch of arguments with nobodies.

That’ll show them you’re not soft, KD!
