While some in the NBA world were receiving awards, LaVar Ball and his sons Lonzo Ball, LiAngelo Ball, and LaMelo Ball received a valuable lesson on the power of a live microphone.

The Ball boys appeared on WWE’s Monday Night RAW to promote Big Baller Brand. Surrounded by mannequins adorned with the brand’s products, LaVar, already the NBA’s heel du jour, verbally sparred with WWE heel the Miz before peeling off his shirt in preparation for battle.

That’s when LaMelo, the youngest of the three brothers, crossed a line.

“Beat that [N-word]’s ass,” the 15-year-old said twice between his laughter.

The show continued despite the not-safe-for-live-TV language, but the WWE released a statement on the matter after it aired: “The inappropriate language used by a guest during the ‘Miz TV’ segment was not scripted nor reflects WWE’s values.”

It was Lonzo’s first appearance at the Staples Center since he was drafted by the Los Angeles Lakers. Like Lonzo a year before him, LiAngelo will join UCLA’s basketball team next season. LaMelo, an incoming high school junior who once dropped 92 points in a high school game, has also committed to UCLA.
