LaVar Ball’s Pregame Speech In Lithuanian Head Coaching Debut Was As Ridiculous As You’d Think

Probably to get him to stop bothering them about it, BC Vytautas, the Lithuanian team of LaMelo Ball and LiAngelo Ball, let the kids’ father serve as head coach for the squad’s final game of the Big Baller Brand Challenge, a series of exhibition games in which the Ball brothers got to inflate their numbers against weaker competition than the time finds in its Lithuanian league games.

LaVar Ball’s pregame speech was predictably lacking in insight.

Still, it’s what happened: BC Vytautas beat Jonava Jonavos, a team from the second-tier Lithuanian league, 151-120.

LaMelo notched a triple-double, scoring 40 points to go with 10 assists, 11 rebounds, and one big alley-oop finish on a feed from his brother.

It might shock you to learn that LaVar was very pleased with himself in his postgame press conference.

Days earlier, LaVar had debuted on the team’s sideline as an assistant coach. He isn’t coaching in any of the team’s Lithuanian league games, strictly in exhibitions.

For now.
