Twitter Destroys TV Host Over “Racist As Hell” Rant On LeBron James

LeBron James shouldn’t be allowed to share his opinions, not even on the platform he created. At least, that’s according to Fox News’ Laura Ingraham, who responded to a video of LeBron’s criticizing the president with a rant that’s being trashed by LeBron’s supporters and those who aren’t all that crazy about the Cleveland Cavaliers star alike.

“The number one job in America … is someone who doesn’t understand the people, and really don’t give a f**k about the people,” LeBron said in a video with Kevin Durant and Cari Champion on his platform Uninterrupted.

Igraham’s condescending response? That LeBron shouldn’t be able to talk politics because he’s not a politician.

“I’m numb to this commentary like … Must they run their mouths like that?” she unfortunately screeched. “Unfortunately, a lot of kids and some adults take these ignorant comments seriously. Look, there might be a cautionary lesson in LeBron for kids. This is what happens when you attempt to leave high school a year early to join the NBA. And it’s always unwise to seek political advice from someone who gets paid $100 million a year to bounce a ball. Oh, and LeBron and Kevin? You’re great players, but no one voted for you. Millions elected Trump to be their coach. So, keep the political commentary to yourself. Or as someone once said, ‘shut up and dribble.’”

Many on Twitter were quick to accuse her of blaring a racist dog whistle.

Outspoken Philadelphia Eagles defensive end Chris Long did his part by displaying Ingraham’s hypocrisy—suggesting that if LeBron’s public stance deserves a rant encouraging him to stick to playing basketball, then these celebrities sharing screen time on the same network as her to talk about politics should get the same treatment.

When the hypocrisy became too much for one man to uncover alone, his fellow Twitter users picked up the slack.

LeBron, meanwhile, couldn’t be bothered.
