Bow Wow may have been seen with the baddest, and he may have been heard with the best, and he might even have it locked down from the East to the West, but now he’s got another feather in his cap: He was the victor of a shooting contest with an NBA player.

Okay, fine, an NBA player with the ugliest shooting motion this side of Charles Barkley’s golf swing, but still, an NBA player nonetheless: Los Angeles Lakers rookie Lonzo Ball.

The rapper formerly known as Lil’ Bow Wow made the most out of his splitting a pair of three-point shootouts with Lonzo, compiling the footage into a video complete with his running around the gym and screaming with joy, as well as what’s probably the first Bow Wow track you’ve heard since he was spitting about middle school.

Oh yeah, and regular-size Bow Wow was wearing just socks on his feet the whole time.

Let this serve as a reminder to athletes: Don’t, under any circumstances, accept challenges from civilians. You either win and no one knows or cares, or you lose and get deservedly roasted for it through retirement. Have we learned nothing from Draymond Green?

Lonzo isn’t the first member of the Big Baller Brand crew to get taken down by a rapper in a shooting contest: His dad got bested by Ice Cube at halftime of a BIG3 league game back in August.

At least the Lakers rookie didn’t challenge Bow Wow to a dunk contest. As this footage from a very real documentary about the rapper’s life as a basketball player suggests, it wouldn’t have ended well either.
