Similar to the Oscars, basketball fans only hand out awards to the slow motion, artful flops, as made famous by the likes of J.J. Redick and Chris Paul. But every once in a while, an action flop sneaks its way in and gets recognized by the academy.

Boston Celtics point guard Marcus Smart performed the Mad Max: Fury Road of flops on Tuesday night against the New York Knicks.

While mismatched against the much larger Carmelo Anthony, Smart smartly did what he could to draw the offensive foul, fiercely throwing himself toward the ground like he just got hit by a tractor-trailer.

The ref didn’t call anything.

Regardless of the non-call, Smart earned his SAG membership on that play.

The Celtics won the game 97-89.
