Grant Hill has experience staring down the Michigan Wolverines in the Final Four. In 1992, he hung 18 points, 10 rebounds, five assists, three steals, and two blocks on Chris Webber, Juwan Howard, and Jalen Rose in the national championship game for the Duke Blue Devils’ second title in as many years.

But the member of the latest NBA Hall of Fame class wasn’t prepared for a high-speed meeting with a present-day Wolverine: big man Moritz Wagner.

During Michigan’s Final Four matchup with the Loyola-Chicago Ramblers in San Antonio, Texas, Wagner darted off the floor and onto the national broadcast crew‘s desk while chasing for a loose ball, destroying Bill Raftery’s glasses and transforming a terrified Hill into the newest sports meme.

The Ramblers apparently did their best to avoid Wagner, too, as the big German dropped 24 points and grabbed 15 boards to lead his team to a 69-57 victory and a berth in the national championship game, where Michigan will meet Villanova.
