President Obama to Cavs Coach Tyronn Lue: Tell J.R. Smith ‘To Put on a Shirt’

President Barack Obama is in the “say whatever he wants” part of his presidency, which has only seemed to help his approval rating these last few months (it also helps that Hillary and Trump are potential replacements). Perhaps that’s why he was extra chatty when calling Cleveland Cavaliers head coach Tyronn Lue to congratulate him on his team’s NBA Finals victory.

Probably the funniest story emerging from Cleveland’s championship (besides LeBron sh*tting on his teammates, then thanking them) is J.R. Smith and his inability to keep a shirt on.

Smith has been shirtless about 95 percent of the time since the final buzzer rang at Game 7.

It’s become a real problem.

The problem is so severe Obama felt the need to bring it up to Lue during his phone conversation.

“Tell J.R. and everybody to put on a shirt though,” Obama said. “You can’t be just walking around without a shirt.”

Obama’s advice worked.

Listen to the entire conversation below. It was almost as if Obama wanted to shoot the sh*t with Lue about basketball for a little while. Tyronn probably had championship stuff to do, so maybe he was the busier man. Hopefully these two can have a real bro sesh when Obama leaves office.
