During his Houston Texans’ matchup with the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday, Bruce Ellington did just that—whether he meant to or not. (He didn’t mean to … probably.)
The incident came after one of the few mistakes in the stunning rookie season of Deshaun Watson.
The Texans quarterback coughed up an interception to Seattle safety Earl Thomas in the first quarter of the teams’ meeting. As the three-time All-Pro made his way 78 yards to the Seahawks’ first touchdown of the day, Ellington, who’d been primarily a special teamer until this season, crashed into a referee while in pursuit.
