Johnny Manziel’s Spring League Teammates Thoroughly Shade Him In Practice

It’s good to know that, while Johnny Manziel’s NFL career has cratered, the easiest and best way to mock the delusional former Cleveland Browns quarterback hasn’t fallen to the wayside with it.

Even before Manziel famously threw up this money sign when Cleveland selected him with the 22nd overall pick in the 2014 NFL Draft, the quarterback was raising his arms and rubbing his fingertips together as a star at Texas A&M.

Opponents have been throwing it in his face ever since, even after more than two years out of the NFL.

During a practice in the Spring League, the most recent step in his quest to return to the NFL, it happened again when his pass was picked off by, I s— you not, a player named Cleveland (though it sounds like the play had been whistled dead before the still-celebrated interception).

Predictably, Manziel did his fair share of chirping too.

Recently, the 25-year-old has made an obvious and commendable effort to repent for his countless past transgressions, but those are so many, so awful, and sometimes so stupid that he’s got a long way to go before “Manziel” isn’t synonymous with “mockery.”
