Braydon Coburn Learns The Hard Way Why You Don’t Fight Tom Wilson

Tom Wilson has already broken an opponent’s jaw while ostensibly playing hockey in the 2018 Stanley Cup playoffs.

But the Lightning’s Braydon Coburn apparently didn’t consider what kind of damage the Caps right wing could do in an actual fight.

This altercation in the first period of Game 7 of the Eastern Conference finals landed both players in the penalty box for two minutes …

… but that didn’t cool either guy off.

Upon their releases from the box, they threw down. It didn’t go well for Coburn.

One of Wilson’s punches looked like a tribute to Rougned Odor.

Here’s a tip for those who want to use their brains past the age of 50: Don’t mess with anyone who couldn’t care less about doing this to their hand.

Before his actual crushing blows, Wilson contributed to a figurative one.

He assisted on Alex Ovechkin’s goal a minute into the series-deciding contest. And he started the play by creating a turnover with a hit on Chris Kunitz.

Washington would score three more times, but the first goal was all they’d need, winning 4-0.

They’ll meet the Cinderella-story Vegas Golden Knights in the Stanley Cup Final.
