The Los Angeles Clippers are going to be scary good this season. But even though the Clips are going to be dominant with the additions of Paul Pierce, Lance Stephenson and Josh Smith—it’s still going to be Blake Griffin and DeAndre Jordan making the highlight reels.
Lob City was in full force during Thursday’s preseason game against the Portland Trail Blazers. During the first quarter, Blake Griffin found a trailing DeAndre Jordan on a fast break. No team in the league can perform alley-oops as efficiently the Clippers, who make it look easy every time.
It will be fascinating to see how all the pieces fit together on the Clippers this season. One can’t help but compare them to the Lakers of a couple seasons ago, bringing in various superstars that did absolutely nothing. But head coach Doc Rivers has dealt with a plethora of talent over the years and is certainly up for the challenge.
