The Cincinnati Reds aren’t breaking any records this season, so why not help a fan break an important one—the longest washing machine throw.
During last Friday’s Reds game, Sean McCarthy set the Guinness World Record at Great American Ballpark, throwing it past the 13-foot, six-inch mark previously set by Lithuanian Zydrunas Savickas.

McCarthy’s new record is 15 feet and nine inches, which is nearly three Tom Cruise lengths. It’ll be interesting to see if anyone challenges McCarthy’s record. Throwing a washing machine 16 feet, now that’s the real Mission Impossible.
