At the time, Yu Darvish’s start in Game 3 of the World Series was the shortest of his career.

Game 7 did it one better—err, worse.

George Springer led off the game with a double ripped down the left field line. An inning later, Springer sent Darvish off with a monstrous two-run home run to put the Houston Astros up 5-0.

Twitter was predictably unkind to the Los Angeles Dodgers’ midseason acquisition, who lasted 1.2 innings following a 3.2-inning outing in Game 3.

The Astros are up 5-0, and Clayton Kershaw has taken the mound for Los Angeles.

The Astros fended off the Dodgers, 5-1, for the first World Series title in franchise history.
