On July 1987, Valerie was fired after two seasons when the show’s producers had enough of her salary disputes. This led to the show being renamed “The Hogan Family” and Valerie was replaced by actress Sandy Duncan. Valerie pulled this same stunt and staged a walk out in 1975 on the show “Rhoda,” which actually worked that time.
