Christmas On Mars
The Flaming Lips, known for their experimental artistic muckraking, decided to make a strange movie about the first Christmas celebration on the newly colonized Mars. Filmed in grainy 16mm with actor buddies Adam Goldberg and Fred Armisen helping the musicians out, it’s a fascinating mid-2000s relic of indie rock culture gone compeltely amok.
