A Viking’s Headwear

The fallacy that Vikings wore horned helmets started sometime around the late 1800s. A man by the name of Carl Doepler created horned helmets for the first Bayreuth Festival in 1876, but there’s no evidence to suggest that Norse people wore them. What’s worse is that this falsehood has been further spread by popular culture, leading millions to believe that this group of people wore horned helmet.
