Catherine the Great’s Death

Source: The Sun

One of the biggest myths in history revolves around Catherine the Great’s death. She died of bed illness (yes, rather boring) and not anything related to copulating with animals. A horse did not crush her to death while she attempted to bed it. This rumor was started by the French, who were known rivals and had a penchant for sexual slander. The rumor about her dying after cracking a toilet also wasn’t true.
