Apollo
Since Ziggy is so closely tied to music on the show, he’s a pretty close fit to the Greek god Apollo. He originated as a solar deity but later was known for his senses of order and reason. He was also supposed to have played a mean lyre. Ziggy’s drive in his quest to find his father is echoed in Hyperion’s daily quest to drive the sun chariot around the globe. They both share a connection in “bringing light” to the world, whether literally or in the form of solving a mystery.
