Madeline Martha Mackenzie (Reese Witherspoon) is fiercely loyal to her close friends. She calls herself a bulldog and barks as hard as she bites, constantly stirring up trouble at home, work, and her daughter Chloe’s school. Once she intentionally sabotaged another kid’s birthday party to send a message at the girl’s mom. Maddie is married to Ed Mackenzie. She has two children, Chloe and Abigail, both from a previous marriage. Her ex, Nathan, is now married to Bonnie. Madeline is more than a little jealous of her “replacement.” She’s crafty, tenacious, and endlessly spiteful, much to our enjoyment.
