Artemis

The Greek Artemis is known as the huntress, famous for carrying a bow. She represents the first, youngest aspect of the three-faced moon goddess. The Romans knew her as Diana, which is similar to the name “Jane” both phonetically and etymologically. In the Greek, her name refers to the coming of “high water,” as in due justice. Given Jane’s quest for vengeance against her boy’s father, there’s a pretty clear correlation between her and the Maiden of the Silver Bow.
