Renata Klein (Laura Dern) is smart, sophisticated, and savage. She’s both a high-powered executive and a proud parent. When her young daughter Amabella is hurt by a boy in her class, she goes into full-on mama bear mode. She’s super rude to the accused child, Jane’s son Ziggy, which in turn invokes the wrath of Jane’s new bestie Madeline. Renata is married to Gordon. Their relationship involves spending lots of time together watching gorgeous sunsets from their incredible balcony.
