Mama Cass Passed Away in 1974
To attempt to regulate her weight, Mama Cass regularly tried to diet but ultimately failed. With the added pressures of touring and being in the spotlight, she ultimately succumbed to drug use and passed away at the age of 32 after releasing five successful solo albums.
