Waverly Hills Sanatorium, Kentucky
The Board of Tuberculosis Hospital built the Waverly Hills Sanatorium and was used to quarantine tuberculosis patients. Then a larger building was built in 1926 and was home to more than 400 patients. It was eventually shut down in 1961 when tuberculosis was cured. But according to rumors, some patients were left behind and their spirits continue to haunt the former sanatorium.
