Roman Coliseum
The Roman Coliseum was location for some of the most brutal and competitive sporting events. It was originally built for Gladiator duels (a popular sport during that time). Gladiators were forced to battle for their lives for the entertainment of thousands of people. When you think of it, the Coliseum was way ahead of its time. There were no cranes or no modern tools used to build such a majestic structure. Today, it stands as a tourist spot, but people say that it is haunted by the ghosts of the gladiators that lost their lives.
