Old Wembley Stadium

Dubbed as the “Cathedral of Football” by one of soccer’s greatest players, Pele, the Wembley Stadium was the biggest stadium in England. Although this was the venue for countless games and home to not only the player, but thousands of fans, it was getting old and outdated. Eventually, the English National Team moved to a new, more modern stadium named the same thing. The Old Wembley Stadium was left abandoned and unused. It stood there for 2 additional year and in 2002, it was demolished.
