Another venue for the 2004 Athens Olympics, the Aquatic Center is where the diving portion of the Olympics was to be held. The venue was originally intended to have a roof to protect them from the scorching Athens sun. But budget and time constraints prevented them from doing that. The competition still went on, and the venue was still somewhat functional. Decades after the games, the center remains unused. Recently, they have been trying to find a use for it.
