Northlands Coliseum
This venue actually hosted 1981 and 1984 Canada Cup Hockey Tournament. It also hosted several Stanley Cup finals. But just like any other structure, a sudden change of ownership was cause for its slow demise. The coliseum was supposed to be renovated into a multi-level ice facility. But the new owner soon realized that renovating the Northlands Coliseum could cost more than actually making a new one. Up to this day, the coliseum remains vacant.
