Amphitheater of Pompeii
Another huge historic site, the Amphitheater is another stadium that has now been turned into a tourist attraction. I guess it’s fair that this magnificent stadium finally retired after centuries of witnessing history. Not only have people enjoyed sports in it, it has seen tons of wars, brawls, and even natural disasters. It even survived the eruption of Mt. Vesuvius that occurred in AD 79. This is one abandoned stadium that you cannot be mad at. The fact that the structure still stands today is mind-blowing.
