Fully Abandoned
Putting aside its beautiful and luxurious decoration, it was pretty sad to think that Henri and Madame de Florian had to abandon the apartment because of the war. The fact that they left so many clothes and expensive items showed that the time was desperate, and their lives depended on swift departure.
Most of the closets that the auctioneers opened held some pricey items, including luxurious dresses, jewelry, and exquisite perfumes from the Belle Epoque.
