9. Hoskie’s Story
She confessed that when she was 17 years old, she got pregnant and no one was there to help her and her child. She dropped out of high school and she was living in the New Haven’s Douglas House Shelter. However, she managed to turn her life around and that’s what she wanted for Alvarez, too.
