3. Pearl Harbor and US Intelligence
The US intelligence about what Japan was able to create was outdated. The US had no idea that the Japanese could fly their planes and reach Pearl Harbor as they thought that the planes didn’t have such a fuel capacity. They also thought the torpedoes would be ineffective in the shallow waters.
