15. Dieppe Raid

The allied forces raided the French seaport of Dieppe in 1942 which was then occupied by the Germans. There were 5,000 Canadian troops, 2,000 English troops and some American and Free French troops. There were also tanks and planes, but the raid ended in massive losses: 3,600 dead, tanks and planes lost and not many targets secured.
