Before Surgery
A couple of years back I had to go into surgery for some health problems. While the doctor was prepping for the surgery and he asked me if I had any children.
Now bear in mind that I am a woman. I replied, “Not that I know of.” I really thought that I would at least get a smile out of him. But there was just a blank stare back.
