Back in the early 90’s, a waitress told u/cgatlanta her proposal story and it wasn’t nice:
“He went to the bathroom and then she went in after. While in there, he called to her ‘Hey, did you see what I left you?’ She said, ‘I’m not looking in there, you’re gross!’ She then opened the door to ask him what the hell was wrong with him and he said ‘You ruined the surprise, I taped your engagement ring to the underside of the seat cover!’”
