Shannon decided to raise her daughter on a Paleo diet since birth. This diet —which includes meats, fish, fruits, vegetables, nuts, and seeds and limits dairy, legumes, and grains — has been around since the 1970s. Although the Paleo diet has become a popular fad in recent years, most might not be aware of what it actually entails. The Paleo — short for Paleolithic — diet is also known as the “caveman diet.” This means that a person on this diet will only eat foods that were available to man during the Stone Age.
