1992’s Teen Talk Barbie blurted out things like, “Math class is tough!” and “Will we ever have enough clothes?” The airheaded statements didn’t thrill parents. Barbie’s 2009 “Totally Stylin’ Tattoos” Barbie dolls also made a few parents gasp in horror. They didn’t find it appropriate for a children’s doll to glorify tattoos.
