Barbie has tons of friends, but her BFF Midge caused quite a stir in 2002 when she got pregnant. Parents feared that she would encourage teen pregnancy because the doll was too young to be a mommy. This despite that the pregnant Midge doll came packaged with her husband, Alan, as part of the “Happy Family” line of toys.
