1965’s Slumber Party Barbie came packaged with a book titled, “How to Lose Weight.” The book contained “helpful” tips like “don’t eat.” Slumber Party Barbie also came with a bathroom scale that showed her weighing 110 pounds. Given her 1/6 scale, she was practically 35 pounds underweight.
