23. Roseanne Barr
All throughout the ’90s, Roseanne Barr played the hilarious mom in the self-titled sitcom Roseanne. She maintained a certain coarseness that nicely contrasted the picture-perfect families so many sitcoms aimed to portray at the time. Even out of character, she remains bold and ambitious.
Today, Barr is mostly known for being vocal and politically active. In the 2012 presidential elections, she was the candidate for the Peace and Freedom Party. With a national pool of 67,000, she impressively came in 6th place overall. She continues to stick firm to her views and fancies herself something of a politician.
