Michael Schoeffling saw a modest but still respectable acting career that spanned from the ’80s to the beginning of the ’90s. He is perhaps best known for his roles in Mermaids, Vision Quest, and Sixteen Candles. However, eventually, he faded from the spotlight.
The actor said he knew he would have to find a new career if he wanted to support a family. Thus, Michael Schoeffling turned to a lucrative career as a carpenter. He even started his own woodworking shop. There, he crafts detailed furniture and puts a great deal of passion and effort into every piece he makes.
