Maturing Faster
Maggie and Caleb were very mature despite how young they were. One of the reasons for this is that Maggie had to hold down the fort while Caleb was away from home. This happened often because Caleb had succeeded in becoming a Marine. As honorable as it is, it was also a very demanding job. Maggie didn’t know what was happening with her partner at times. This put a lot of strain on Maggie.
