Bad Attitude
Baker had manners. He greeted the cashier, and she greeted him back in an annoyed tone. She seemed more focused on chewing the gum than helping him.
Still, he smiled at her and ordered his food. Baker thought maybe she was having a bad day, and he could cheer her up. He knew all people had bad days.
