14. Alaska’s 100,000 Glaciers
Almost 5% of Alaska is actually made from glaciers, which are nearly 100,000 in number, and many don’t have names. Two important glaciers are the Malaspina Glacier which covers an area bigger than Rhode Island and the Bagley Ice Field which is the largest non-polar ice field in the Western Hemisphere.
