13. Aniakchak – a Dangerous National Park

The Aniakchak National Preserve isn’t like other national parks. You cannot reach Aniakchak by a road – you either fly or take a boat there, but it’s highly dangerous due to the weather that can vary from peaceful to heavy rains in a matter of minutes. And if you do make it there, you should beware – there are a lot of brown bears that thrive on the salmon that grows in those waters!
