Settlement
The divorce settlement included a lump sum of $5 million dollars for Kate as well as providing for school fees for private schools for all three sons. However, Richard said that Kate “hounded me for years… and tried to make me pay more.” Richard felt that the boys were the only good thing from his “cold and joyless” marriage. He had no idea there was another surprise around the corner.
